I know the new el ranges have the field flattened swarovision optics unlike the old el ranges. I also noticed that the field of view is actually wider in the new 10x42 el ranges than the standard el 10x42, which really surprised me. One thing that seems like a bummer is swaro doesn’t have wind...
What’s everybody’s opinion and experience using this for hunting 400+ yards? I now use a traditional bino and an Sig 2400 abs rangefinder. Now I am considering using a ranging bino. How well do the swaro ballistics work? Does anybody regret going from a separate rangefinder to range finding bino?
Nightforce ATACR 4-16x42 F1 with the MOAR reticle. Comes with Nightforce bubble level rings and tenebrex caps. The glass is in excellent condition and there is no damage on the scope.
$2,000 thru PayPal. Might consider trades for alpha level binos but would prefer cash.
I definitely prefer 42mm objectives for the smaller size. The rifle it’s going on has a decently high comb so it shouldn’t be a problem to get behind a 50mm, but 42 should make it feel a bit handier.
Are the reticles the same sub tensions?
Looking for a scope for my 6mm creedmoor. Thinking about either the credo hx 2.5-15x42 or 4-16x50 as I’m leaning for a sfp scope for this rifle. Anybody have experience with both these scopes?
I have an elk tag around ely so I’m also interested. I think it’s been a pretty dry year over there. I heard from someone that the deer have suffered the last couple years from drought but I’m not sure how this year is looking.
Seemed like the rut was totally over when I was there in 4th. Many more elk hunters than deer hunters. Saw lots of deer but mostly does with forkies. Ended up shooting a small 4pt. He was the biggest we found. Talking to others the 3rd season guys had better opportunities at bigger bucks last year
