WTS my Grounded Brand Impact 2.0 vest.
Basically brand new - Never worn outside the house. Just doesn’t fit my style of hunting and too late to return.
The vest is well made and the material is super quiet, which is nice for Turkey hunting.
Comes with the Grounded bag, as well.

Wanting to sell my Kenetrek Hunting Gaiters. I’ve only worn them on one elk hunt and a few turkey hunts in Georgia. No wear on them other than some mountain dust on the straps. Everything is in working order with no rips or tears.
Come in Realtree Excape camo.
The size large is for men’s...
Looking for a Slumberjack Rail Hauler 2.0 in good shape. I can snag one for around $170 on Amazon but I would rather give my money to a fellow outdoorsman, if possible.
Thanks in advance!

I went on my first elk hunt 2 years ago and was on a budget. I bought an ILBE pack from a guy here and it worked great on the trip. The only issue I had was the bottom of the shoulder straps seemed to dig into my chest with any significant weight.
I am planning another trip next year and I’m...
I live in Georgia so we don’t get a ton of snow... however, it rains quite a bit here in the winter and my feet get cold easy. I also hunt in an area of the state with quite a bit of elevation change (for the southeast, at least). A quality pair of pac boots give me everything I need for where I am!
Danner Pronghorn

400 Gram Thinsulate

As far as the boots... it’s either that or some GoreTex hiking boots. Maybe I can take both and see what works best.
I’m wearing gaiters so maybe I don’t need boots quite as tall as the Danners. The hikers have better ankle support even though they are lower cut.

I do have two pairs of gloves (insulated wool mitts and fingerless wool gloves) a neck gaiter, and fleece beanie. I just forgot to add those into my list. Hunting deer in Georgia, the quickest way to get cold is by not covering your hands, neck and head. I assume that principle applies in...
So I’m doing my first elk hunt in Colorado in October and I’m trying to nail down my layering system. Would love some feedback on how this might work:
Under Armour 2.0 base pants
Midweight fleece base pants
Wrangler Tech pants or Prana Brion
Minus33 merino base shirt
Midweight Icebreaker...
20L Sea to Summit lightweight dry bag is what I use for long backpacking trips. Works great for me. I separate out each day’s meals into ziplocs as well.
Doing my first 7 day elk hunt this year and I will use this same strategy.

Headed to Colorado for the second rifle season and I’m needing to pick up a new sleeping bag. I have a 0° bag and a 20° bag already but the 0° is 6 lbs and the 20° I feel like will get pretty cold at Elevation in October.
My debate is between a 0° Thermodown bag by Paria Outdoors or the 15°...
So, I'm going on my first elk hunt in Colorado in the October 2nd rifle season.
I am from Georgia and have never hunted out west. My hunting boots range from Merrell Moab in early season to 400g rubber boots and 10" 800 gram lace ups for colder weather.
I have been trying to find a pair of...
Peanut M&M’s and Skittles are staples in my pack. Not necessary but they sure make me feel better. And the sugar is a nice energy boost.

Another vote for biscuits and gravy
I also like the Breakfast Skillet. I’ll put it on tortillas and add salsa. Good stuff!
