I've been needing a saw for occasional use and for incase a trees over the road when heading to and from the trailheads.
I impulse bought a Stihl MS170.
I guess it's just a home owner light use saw. It only has a 16" bar. So this probably would limit me, right? It was on sale for $160 so the...
With my Xtherm pad and a pillow it was super tight! Awesome bivy just wasn't tall enough! Super bummed! Their quilt is a huge game changer and the company is super pro hunting! And they don't hide the fact they are hunters.

Just don't set up in a bowl or in a crick and you'll be fine.
I have started using a UL Bivy in my Sawtooth because the ground bugs in Montana are a pain through September. Not needed but who wants spiders and ants crawling on them.
Another option is going to a flat tarp and UL Bivy ike...
I've had an Xtherm the last two years. I really don't understand what they are talking about. I've read all these reviews too.
I believe they must be engaged in an activity other than sleeping...
The noise has never been an issue.
The pad has a super high R value and weighs a pound. What not to...
Just throwing this out I'd look at a Mountain Laurel instead. I tried the EE last year and it was too small. The bug mesh and zipper would press on my face. The ML has a lot more room. Same design too kind of. I've seen them used on eBay recently.

I've been using a Fitbit Charge 2 for the last year and it's OK at best. I do a lot of gym workouts and the HR cuts out a lot. Also I'll feel myself maxing out and I'll only be at 130`ish when I know I'm at least 150.
I know a wrist monitor isn't the best but I expected better for $150.
Kind...
Looking for a small genny to have in my truck back at the trailhead to recharge my Quiet Kat batteries and my Dark Energy packs.
I know zero about these and I can't even tell the difference between wats and amps lol!
I know these Quiet Kat batteries need quite a bit of juice to charge so I...
I bought this in 2016 and probably have only put a hundred rounds through it. Carried it for a few hunting seasons.
But my inner Glock fan boy decided to go to a 10mm.
Looking for $875 shipped for the gun and holster.

I just got my new Sitka tarp. I had a chance to okay with it in the yard and I'd like to add one or to guy out loops along the middle crease.
Can I use patch material, silicone and some light webbing?
Thanks

Evernew. For a drinking cup MSR makes a funky shaped insulated mug with a lid. It seems drinks warmer longer and it fits into a pack really well because of its shape.

I tried the Obsidians in '17. After about five days I got a hole that started in a knee. I emailed FL and they said I was SOL. $190 for a pair of pants that didn't even have two weeks on them!
The Apex pants are super quiet and durable like all Sitka. With Sitka they said if I get a hole or...
The new Sitka synthetics are pretty great! I used to be a wool guy. But dang the new synthetics don't smell and dry fast. I tried the new lightweight wool from Sitka and it was horrible. Hiked in on a warm day and it was soaked with sweat until the next day!
