Great product and I have been using it for 3 years. I use the freedom plan since I only use for a couple weeks to a month out of the year and this year Delorme got me.
I changed my plan renewal to the recreation plan since I only had 3 days left on my trip and my current plan was about to...
Im looking for a shelter with a stove... something that will primarily be used at the Trailhead or near the truck. There will be a couple times a year where it gets packed in but probably for a week or two per year at the most. Id like something with stand up head room for someone a little...
Anyone on the east side of the rockies hearing much for rut activity? Was there for a few days last week and it was pretty quiet and slow with lots of rain and wind. Planning on heading back out this weekend for another week.

I've been shooting Kinetic XTs with a 100 grain head, HIT inserts. I wanting to try out some heavier set ups since I seem to always hear great things about it.
I'm wanting to try a 175 grain VPA head with the new GT Kinetic Kaos arrows. I'll be using their new ballistic collar as well. I'm...
Akto
Pros
The Hilleberg brands reputation has been proven through the test of time
I would think the durability is better than the Scarp based on materials and such
Resale Value
Cons

Only 36" of head room - That means I can barely sit up straight in this tent, but not...
Could someone explain to me the difference between the "old" HD B and the new HD R.... as far as I can tell the only major difference is the EHR function.... but I was under the impression the HD B did this as well or had a function very similar....
I have a post earlier titles "zipper". Now I'm wondering what would be the best material for the actual pocket. Just a silnylon or......? Where would I get a small amount of this material? Initially I'm thinking some ripstop or even xpac, that way if I get caught in a storm without a cover I...
Anyone have a good place to order zippers? I ordered an archer 6200 and I plan on putting an additional zippered pocket on it. I'm think either a ykk or RiRi waterproof zipper. Going to check with my seamstress to make sure she can do it.
Anyone messed around with stone glacier bags and adding a zippered pocket. Was looking at the new archers 6200 and it seems like a guy could cut open a seam, add a zipper and a little pocket for quick access to small items whether it was in bivvy mode or regular mode.
Would the bag still be...
I use a kuiu harness and will be purchasing a leica rangefinder soon. I need a way to attach this to my bino harness since the leica doesn't have a belt clip like my old vortex did. I've looked at the fhf rf pouch and the range snap. Anyone have any experience with the fhf pouch on the kuiu...
Anyone got any ideas on this? The best thing I can think of is taking some electrical tape and taping a hand warmer on the grip. Any better ideas or products out there that work well?
I've been looking at purchasing some puffy pants for a late season midlayer and while doing research I found an alternative which may or may not be a good comparison. I frequent backpacking lights forum and I've seen a lot of people on that forum recommending fleece pants as their insulating...
Anybody played around with taking a hand muff and attaching it to the should straps of your pack? Maybe hanging it right below your bino harness? Any similar ideas or DIY mods out there?
From 0 degrees to teens. Glassing in the mornings and evenings with temps in the single digits and hiking a mile or twould to and from glassing spots. Seems like the mountaineer model might be the warmest with the 9mm felt/wool liner, but the voyager seems like a good boot too.
Currently shoot an 2013 elite hunter, thinking about switching to a mathews chill r. Looking for any an all opinions about that bow. How does it tune? Cam lean? Quiet? Efficent? Speeds at 28" draw?
