Curious what everybody's base back weight is? Like everything you carry on a back pack hunt minus the food and water since that will very on duration of trip and water sources in the area. I'm 24.8 lbs with shelter, pack, stove, sleeping bag and pack, Clothes flashlight stove tripod spotter knife etc. Basically everything I take on a 7 day pack trip except the food and water. I have a new tripod showing up this week that will shave 2lbs off that total weight

My pack is right at 50#, loaded and ready to hit the trail for 4 days. That includes food, 3 liters of water, and my 10 1/2# rifle. I know you asked for base pack weight, but most of my trips are 3-5 days, so what I take is pretty much the same. For scouting trips, I'm about 38#, because I'm leaving behind my kill kit, rifle and ammo.

Just back from a two day pack in scout trip wasn't sure if there would be water or not. My pack weighed in at 36 pounds with a extra gallon of water and a 3L big zip platypus.

I'll let you know when the rest of my gear shows up. I have dropped over 10lbs in pack, shelter, bag and pad this offseason.

15 pounds right now for early season. Pack weight only, no bow or binos. 28 pounds for a 5 day trip with food and 80 oz. of water. I have a later September trip planned for 9 days. That one should be 35.5 pounds with food and the same 80 oz. average water.

Ditto but to satisfy my curiosity I am at 36lbs with 4 days food no rifle,no optics.

Don't get me wrong I'm pretty light weight. When I was just Backpacking I would hit the trail with 5 days of food and be at 26#. Bruce's 72# pack on his fishing trip had me shaking my head. I have a few different pieces of gear this year so I'm not sure what my pack weight is...Dammit now I'm curious too....

Went on a 3 day fishing ramble... 22 no food no water. Hunting would add in a 7lb rifle and my binos and a few other things... so probably 33-37ish for a base hunting wieght

18#'s with everything for a week of Elk chasing minus food, water and bow.
I could easily be around 16 though.

Impressive!!

Just my pack, rifle, spotter, tripod and binos I am up over 20 pounds! Let alone game bags, knife, shelter, quilt, pad, stove, fuel, rain gear, puffy clothes, water filter, TP, trekking poles, and extra set of socks and my base layer bottoms. Care to share your complete list there?

I have actually stopped caring. I buy Good gear, pack what I need, leave what I don't. The pack weighs what it weights.

X2... I used to count grams now I'm back to a bit heavier yet still light weight gear. Not even going to add it up this year, my pack will weigh what it weighs.
