I don't know about other brands but necking down 6.5 ADG brass to .257 the .284 bushing or one a thou. +/- right around that size is what many are using. I just necked down a bunch of ADG 6.5 SAUM brass for a 25 SAUM build I having coming up and using a .284 bushing got me right around 2.5 thou neck tension with Hornady 134's.

Got some supplies in today. Just need a barrel at this point. Probably go with a 20” barrel threaded for a suppressor.

Alpha SRP 25 Creedmoor brass will give you good SDs, 6 CM brass (neck up with mandrel) will give you better velocity.

Wouldn't necking down 6.5 be easier? It's a little closer to 0.257 and you wouldn't be turning shoulder brass into neck brass.

I don’t know why, but it seems most neck up instead of down. But I’ve not chased that rabbit yet.

Possibly. I thought it could be a neck turn issue but I wouldn’t think it would necking down that much, or little.

No barrel blank in Rem varmint that my smith will cut and chamber. Nobody had the barrel profile in stock so ordered it from Brux because I was set on brand and profile for this build
