750 Yard .50 Cal Sidelock Muzzleloader Open/Peep Sights

My .50 Cal Sidelock Muzzleloader at 750 Yards a few days ago. Stock is a TC Hawken from an Old “Kit Gun” Lee Shaver Long Range Soule Tang Peep Sight, Lee Shaver Globe Front sight. This is a RICE 1-24 Twist 32” inch .50 Cal Barrel, This is my 2nd RICE Drop in Bullet Barrel, They are AWESOME Barrels, I Can’t Speak highly enough of them! 👍 They are 4140 Chromoly “Match Grade” Barrels

I chose to use my BACO 615 Grain Paper Patch Bullet for this outing, My 610 Grain Grease Groove Bullet Shoots every bit as good, I just didn’t have any Cast up. The paper i used is Paper Mill Store 9# onion Skin

This is a Serious “Old School” Elk Rifle (y)


The above 3 Shot Group at a Ranged 100 Yards, Well under a 1/2” inch at .408 (.900 Minus .492 Bullet Diameter)

This is my 610 Grain Grease Groove Bullet (Custom Mold i had Made) This BIG Bullet Shoots STELLAR as Well 👍

Lewis, are you shooting by mercury cr? That looks super familiar. Nice shooting BTW.
 
Quigley Stateside, I have no idea how you make an adjustment, up and right, when the peep has to be covering the entire backstop. impressive

Great shooting for any gun let alone using iron sights. There must be a huge drop over 750 yards with a 610 gr bullet and muzzle velocity which I'm guessing must be well under 2,000 fps.
