I've got a Dead Air Mask in jail that I hope to have soon (this will be my first suppressor). I'm looking at a 22 to put it on, and am looking at CZs. I really like the 457 Royal, but they are unfortunately threaded 1/2x20 instead of 1/2x28. There are a number of $20-$30 dollar adapters made to convert the 20 to 28. Are these generally a pretty successful solution, or should I look at a different rifle option that has the 28 thread? Thanks for any advice/help you can provide.

If it bothers you, you could always chop the x20 threads off and have it threaded x28. But Ive had good luck using adapters as long as its from a reputable manufacturer and you check the alignment before you shoot it.
