7%... Hey there is still a chance. haha The SoCal zones have less than 10% also. That would very gracious of ya to share some info. I am not 100% sure if I'll be able to make that far north this year, but Im going to try.

Some great tips here, thank you again for taking the time to write this up. That's crazy how even 100-450 yards it was difficult to spot a bedded deer. I've definitely learned the importance of sitting on a glassing spot well before sunrise.

I'm just looking to learn a new area and maybe have a better chance at seeing a buck. I haven't been to active on JHO. Sad to hear that he let the forum "go." I do also prefer rokslide because of the pleathra of information and some great hunters.
