I am looking for a new cheek pad for my Fieldcraft. I am looking for something that uses adhesive, won't absorb water, and won't be too compressible. I've seen the mousepad recommendations, but I'm not sure if they would absorb water or not.

I'm currently leaning towards the Cheeky Bastard, but I'm sure I can find something cheaper.

Are you trying to add height or make it more comfortable? If you want foam, a few gun companies offer thin (1/8”ish) ones designed for rifles that do some of both, or you can buy sheets of various thicknesses of hard bootfitting foam and cut to fit. If there is someone local to you that does custom ski boot fitting they’ll have it, or Im sure you can buy on amazon. Just make sure you get a hard closed-cell foam, open cell will absorb water, neoprene is likely too squishy.

The foam that flip flops are made out of is light, durable, available in all sorts of sizes, doesn’t absorb water, and can be shaped with sandpaper.
