Colorado GMU 53

Looking for some guidance. Just got back from 2 days scouting and 3 days hunting in 53. Found a herd of 30 elk two days before season then ghost town after that. I could not put them to bed because they stayed out all night. Not active during the day and no response to calls. Tracks and scat everywhere I looked. Bright moon for the three days and I could hear them walking about 2:30 in the morning. I’m planning on going in another 8 days here in two weeks. If anyone has knowledge of the area can I bounce some ideas off of you through PM’s.

I've been hunting the north end of the unit and it seems that sheep have been through recently. Not sure what part you are in, but grazing can (not always) be a curveball.
