This morning 14 degrees, snow, sleet and freezing rain with a left to right wind from 5-10 mph, overall a gorgeous day.
After the retumbo loads I cleaned the barrel as I usually do when switching powders.
Fired 4 shots to foul the barrel then one each over the magnetospeed so a total of 9 foulers.
I waited 3 minutes between all shots from when I mounted the MS to the end...it took a while. I also kept the ammo in the truck so it wouldn't get too cold and skew my results from beginning to end.
This is the first 5 rounds with the MS attached and 1 round just to check zero after the first 4 foulers. After the MS I moved the scope up 1 moa and right .5 moa before starting with the 168 Classic Hunter loads.
I am starting to think this rifle needs about 15 foulers before settling in, 4 foulers then 5 over the MS then shot 1 on each target
(total of 15 shots) before it leveled out.
MS target, CC was the first shot without the MS attached.
Then this 168 CH at .010 jump, CCI 250, 1X fired Nosler brass H1000
These were shot round robin from lowest charge to highest
Then this 175 EH at .030 jump, Fed 215, 3X fired Nosler brass, H1000
I moved the scope .75 down and .75 left before these
Round robin here also from low to high
I loaded up 5 each with 69.3 H1000, 215 primer, 1X nosler brass, and 175 EH at .010, .020 and .030 to shoot at 425 yards next time out if it's not too windy. Not sure of the speed but should be about 2950-2980 fps.
