Davis Peak stove and coal

I called the nearest source of coal near me and was asked if I wanted anthracite or bituminous (Kentucky coal). After a bit of research I'm coming up short of answers; and that includes calling Davis.

I guess anthracite burns cleaner but I'm not sure of much else.

Anybody have a good answer?

Get the anthracite mate - it will burn extremely hot. Has more energy than almost any other form of coal. Should be shiny glass like coal if it is true anthracite. Will take some heat to get it going.
