It's been almost 20 years since I've shot a Yote, over 45 years since I shot a bobcat and he took a 180 gr .30-06 bullet in the head, so no pictures of them.

But I have shot a few other North America and African preditors...
South African Jackal, shot with my .375 RUM, and South African Caracal shot with a .22 LR

I have trapped many coyotes over the years but have never set for bobcats. This year I made the time and got a few sets out and was lucky enough to connect with this female.20240220_075736.jpg

I’ve shot the 53 max a lot, too, but I really like the long range capability of the 77 TMK. I have shot a few with 77 SMKs, but that bullet doesn’t seem as predictable and they tend to run a lot farther, with pencil sized exits, often.

They’ll definitely kill, and if you can watch the yote after the shot, they work, just not as effective as the TMK version. You could shoot the 69 grain TMK, it would be pretty dang good for yotes.

This is type of coyotes i have been dealing with. Caught 53 coyotes off a 5000-acre hunting club. 50 of them had the mange.

I know I have more I’ll post later. Perks of being on a dairy I never had to work hard to get them. Wish I could post a video with my 1911 45 harvest. I have actually got quite a few with a couple different pistols. Most were taken with the 300 Winchester Mag and 17 HMR. IMG_3978.jpegIMG_3976.jpegIMG_3994.jpegIMG_3962.jpeg
