I was curious on you'alls opinion. I shot a big blacktail buck that I estimated at around 180 lbs before processing. After processing I weighed out 18 lbs of steaks and 60 lbs of hamburger meat before adding fat. . . so 78 lbs of meat total. I lost very little meat to blood shot. Thoughts on live weight? I'm thinking he may have weighed slightly over 180. What's your opinion.

It's hard to tell from that picture. 78 lbs of meat is definitely above average for a blacktail. My general rule of thumb over the years has been your meat yield ends up about 1/3 total body weight, but that's more of a random guess than anything.

Super hard to even guess with one picture and not knowing what your grind looks like (what you are willing to put in the grind pile) sounds like a lot of meat regardless!
