GF and I are big into the national parks system. 9-11 and Flight 93 hold a special meaning to me and my family.
My cousin Tommy was on flight 77 and killed that day. Myself and my GF Beth went to Pittsburgh to see my daughter and then went to the 5 national parks in western PA.
The visitor center for Flight 93 asked that photos not be taken inside. A ranger allowed me to take a few photos of the wall of names inside though. On the grounds it was fine to photograph.
They take respect serious as it should be. The park police lit up a large group of high school student's and teachers for being rowdy on the grounds.

There are 4 houses a few hundred yards from the impact site. No one was home that day or they would have been killed.
Wreckage was found 8 miles away from the site.
One of the homes was knocked off its foundation and had a garage door turned inside out from the concussion of the plane striking the ground.
Human remains were found on the roofs of the houses.
The closet home had little damage, while the one above was the farthest and had the most damage.
The crash site is considered the final resting site/burial ground. It is marked with a large rock to show the site of impact.
The plan hit the ground upside down as the terrorists were trying to prevent the passengers from re taking the plane. It hit the ground at close to 600 miles per hour.
A pet cat was found in one home without injury.
