I’ve been contemplating this addition. What was the network of satellites this one used? Did you have any issues with coverage? How much was the monthly on it and was it month to month contracting or yearly? Any more info about your experience would be helpful. I’m just trying to gauge the ease and feasibility of making this jump. If you are going away from this, what made you make that decision.

This uses the Spot / Globalstar network. Globalstar has been building up their network for the last several years and the service I had with them was very reliable. I used this photo for one season in Colorado and then that spring for a bear hunt in Canada. The only issue with coverage is if you are in a heavy tree cover area with no view of the sky. The area I hunt in Colorado has good cell coverage so I don't have a need for it anymore. Globalstar has a few monthly plans that require a year contract. Their cheap plan is $79 a month for 150 mins a month. They do not offer prepaid minutes currently in the US. https://www.globalstar.com/en-us/products/service-plans

It is very easy to set up, just contact Globalstar and give them the device number and you are set. Simpler that buying a new cell phone. Feel free to text or call if you have a y questions. 913 927 6690.
