I am looking for a new scope for my 300 wsm. This will by no means be a "long range" rifle. I have a Maven crs.1 3-12 on another rifle and like it alot but the Burris signature 3-15 seems like another good option. Anybody have a comparison of them or anyother similar scopes I should consider?

No experience with Maven, but I do have a Burris Signature HD in 3-15 x 44, only used it for one season so far, but seems reliable, glass is very good for price point, wish the turret clicks were a bit more positive, but it's still acceptable. I really like it's compact size and light weight, I will say there is not a lot of area for mounting the rings, being it's length, so a picatinny rail or extension rings might be advisable. Wish I had used it longer to report on its durability, but so far I'm pleased with its performance.

I had two of the Signature 3-15 on a couple rifles. Didn't really have an issue with them, just didn't need that much magnification. Tracking on one seemed a bit sporadic, the other one worked with no issue. I had the regular plex reticle. If they'd put the plex in the 2-10 version, or even the regular old ballistic plex, I'd probably have 5 or 6 of them. The made in China part bothers me, but hell, what's not made in China nowadays. I've given up worrying about country of origin.
