My son wants to go down watch the Matt’s off-road recovery’s wrecker games again this year. I was to slow to get a camping spot a Sand Hollow and I would rather camp out in my wall tent then drop $500 on a hotel. Does anyone know where a good camping spot might be on BLM land or any other options to throw up a tent for 3 days in that area?

Do a search on Campendium and also on freecampsites.net. Sorry. I'm not highly familiar with the area, but I use these two web sites often when traveling and boondocking in my truck camper.

I was just there Mountain Biking for a weekend instead of getting stuck in Vegas, and as you leave town towards Apple Valley, there were a bunch of people with their campers, vans, trailers ALL OVER the place on the roads / trails through the sage to your left.

It's called Hurricane Cliffs and only a couple miles outside of town. Designed with Mountain Bike usage in mind, but nothing to say you couldn't camp there as long as there were sites available.
