Is asking about RV/camping sites rude like asking about hunting spots?

I've always considered it rude, asking about hunting spots. Like sacrilegious.

So spots where you can park a small camper legally free, is that also rude to ask about?

Or even what places cost less than other places.

If it isn't rude, I'd ask about what kind of apps or forums are useful in doing more research. Running into a lot of BS.

About to pull the trigger on a small teardrop camper, doing research. No facebook.

Kind of, it puts me in the uncomfortable position of having to lie to you, and I really don't want to do that.

Do you understand dispersed camping and the role MVUM play in that?

No, not rude to me at all, IMO. I know hundreds of free places to camp in the NF's out here that I'd freely give away (if I'm not going to be there). I've gone up many times to camp and or hunt and someone was already in that spot, no sweat, plan B. Then Plan C,D,E,F,etc if necessary. I always have a half dozen places in mind.
