Just picked up 2 Zeiss scopes V-6 RS 3-18x50 & V-6 5-30x50. Try to decide which on to put on my HS Precision 300 WM. Need input.

Just picked up 2 Zeiss scopes. V-6 RS 3x18x50 & V6 5x30x50. Trying to decide which one to put on my HS Precision 300 WM. Need input.

18x is plenty for shouting long range and 3x is good for the timber. 5x might make it harder to find critters in your scope at close range. If your proficient with your gun a 5x may be fine at close range. It's more what you prefer. I think you could do about any kind of hunting with a 3-18.

I just look at a Bergara 308 hunter yesterday, that my local gun shop had on sale. Thought about putting that 3x18 on that & 5x30 on my HS 300 WM.
