Kifaru Style Compression Dry Sack

I started this project wanting a dry sack that compressed not only laterally but also vertically. This is what I came up with . I borrowed kifaru’s paracord lateral compression idea, but I alternated the line locks to prevent the banana effect. I also wanted a vertical compression to maximize space so I sewed in wings with reinforced mil-spec webbing attached to buckles. The stitching isn’t perfect and it needs some tweaks but it’s a start and the sil nylon with sil-net sealed seams it’s completely waterproof!! Anybody else try anything like this? I’d like to see some mods that I didn’t think of!!

Any Plans for that ? Looks great

Hopefully for an early archery elk hunt in Montana if we get drawn - just wanted to conserve space and stay dry - I cut down 8” length and 3” in diameter from stuff sack that my bag came in

Nice work man.Looks good.
I did one few years ago with coyote brown silnylon, great for my 6.75 Tigoat tipi with stakes.Round shape is hard to sew.

Nice! Looks like you used 500 paracord as well - do you find that it’s a pain to tighten the line locks - looks like the kifaru uses different cordage like a 1.8 draw cord
