Kowa does not have a serial number lookup, but Paul at Kowa North America might know. 90’s or early 00’s would be my guess. This was the predecessor to the 774, although the 774 did not get fluorite crystal, you had to bump up to the 884 to get it. I’ve had it on the tripod, it’s significantly better than my 554 and 664.
