Missing the Season opener- huge mistake?

I have B&C heads in my hands. But I was New Mexico spoiled. Not many tags handed out and though not nearly the goat numbers.....the numbers of 15+ inch bucks were insane.

I have zero interest in a 12" goat for a first buck. But I will have to see the quality I am provided. I can only hunt a single specific unit that in Wyoming terms...is dinky. But yes....I'll travel once in August. And I'll go down several days early. I am very grateful to have the first two days to hunt. At least if I strike out I can say I tried. I can do back during general rifle deer and hunt both species. Or make a second run at it early October.
