Montana deer results in, but seem messed up

Got drawn for general tag. Can't wait for November. This will be my second trip to Montana for mule deer. First trip was awesome. Hope this one is as good as that one was.

My Dad and I got deer combo tags. First trip to Montana for us. Bought the point.

First time applying, bought the point and drew. Quite a few guys from my hometown also applied and bought the point and all of them drew as well.

I didn't know it worked that way because all the info I saw on FWP licensing site just says that it is a true pp system. I even checked again and there is no mention of a random aspect to the draw under the pp system. But if that's how it works, that explains the way it worked out? Thanks for the information.
