Montana mule deer hunting

Anyone familiar with the Winette area for mule deer? Me and my son have an opportunity to go over there in a couple weeks. We will be meeting a bro in law and father in law.

I've not hunted deer in the area, but have spent a little time in the area. I've seen some good bucks near Winette, muleys and whitetails, but they were/are on managed/controlled private ranch that I have no access to. I've not seen the same caliber bucks on the nearby public land, but other than glassing a spot or two from the road while driving through I've not looked for them either. I suspect that any of the public land or BM sees a fair amount of pressure like all the other public land in Montana.
