Mystery Ranch Mule Questions

I have a Mystery Ranch Metcalf and I was thinking about buying a Mystery Ranch Mule bag only option for a smaller day pack to attach to my frame.

My question is can you attach the Metcalf lid with the Mule bag?

This Lid was for my Pintler, now, resides from time to time on my Sawtooth 45.
With the right extra buckles, time, imagination and proper use of appropriate cuss words (Band Aids are optional) it might work
