I’ve seen that some of the nice rucks have the feature where you can put things between the frame and the pack, is it every nice ruck that has this? And how effective is it really? Aside from packouts I would probably use it to carry fly things like wool blankets, tarps , or maybe a chair or rifle

most frame packs that I'm aware of have a load shelf. But if you happen to never use it it isnt a hassle either.
