Been a crazy week! I'd placed an order on Memorial Day with South but that guy is super busy! And wasn't able to get my bow to me until last week! But the man was up at 0300 Friday before last spraying it before he went on a hunt.

Anyways I've always been a longbow man. And I'd been curious about the ACS limbs so I swiped the credit card.

Ended up getting a 58@28 62". G10 with grey action wood. Simple but pretty enough and blends into the dark timber and a blind well.

Build two dozen Black Eagle Carnivores. They ended up at 570 grains.

Tuning went well using slow motion.

When South says the ACS limbs are fast, he's underselling it! I've been shooting a 54# Wolverine with a 640 grain arrow. At 40 yards my arrows really started to drop off. Now I'm shooting over the top of my target when I forget what bow I'm shooting. Not that I'll willingly fling an arrow at at animal that far, it's that I was taught by an old crusty who thought practicing at 20 was a waste of time.

I did put on my old 60# limbs and they are considerably slower.

Now for a big bull to walk under my treestand in the next couple weeks!

Looks good Aj. I like that combo bud. Yeah I’m impressed by them too. I shot mine at 7-10 yards getting it all dialed in. I stepped on back to 20 and shot over the back. So I had to reprogram my mind some. Thanks for the help. I got some 400’s coming this week for mine.

Told ya man that are barn burners. My acs longbow is my favorite bow. I don’t shoot my wolverine much, need to hunt with it more. I just love these acs limbs though.

Have you ever had a chance to put an arrow thru a chrono? I am interested in your speed, your bow is very similar to mine but I am shooting a slightly lighter arrow. If you did can you include your arrow specs?

I am shooting A coyote with ACS limbs. 60” - 60lbs @28 drawing 27.5. Arrow is 560 grain.

Mines also 60lb at 28 and I draw 26. 500 grain arrow and I’m consistently in the 165-170 fps range. I think South told me at 50lb, 28inch draw and 450 grain arrow or 9pp they are around 190s on average.
