New Mexico Gun Control measures soundly defeated

The draconian far-left wing gun controls measures never made it out of committee. One measure concerning firearm access to minors did pass though. We will have another Governor next term. Hopefully, she will never be voted back in. Another victory for the NRA-ILA:

Good news, would be a good start with a new Governor, well potentially? Seems to be a serious lack of decent politicians anywhere in the country.

Make no mistake, there will be another session before the next election and these bills will resurface.

They pushed through the very controversial ones so they can focus on these in the 2024 session.

Generally if they don’t even get out of committee, they die there. But the anti-gun forces never sleep. There are always anti-gun measures on the table every session. This session was unusual flurry of gun bills. The Governor’s main thrust was anti-assault weapon and high capacity mags. This is a national movement because of Pres. Biden’s effort. No doubt the anti-gun forces will adapt their strategy and introduce new bills next session. That is a given. This is the Governor’s 2nd term so she can’t run in the next election.

Have you looked at the current majority of Republicans lately. You just described them too. The only thing that will save this country is the common sense, middle thinking people. The right and left are both nuts and very authoritarian. They both want to take away anything they dont believe in. Our liberty is in danger from both sides.
