Anyone tried the JMT plus or the Skaha. Sold my Lost parka
because of packability. These have the same apex 3.5 but they
can put 2.5 in the sleeves. I can pick my poison in fabrics from 7d to 70d.
It appears that I can save quite a bit of weight and increase packability?.
Of course, there is a price penalty for the weight savings and all the
customization.

I have the PCT which is basically a roomier fit and fuller featured JMT or full zip version of the Skaha. With 3.6 body /2.5 sleeve, robic fabric, insulated hood, front pockets, and sleeve cuffs in medium it weighs 12.5 ounces and packs down pretty close to the same as my uncompahgre. It’s a ton of warmth and weather resistance for the weight.

I’m talking with Jan on a custom center zip 20 degree apex bag right now. He’s getting pretty backed up and won’t be shipping any new orders until at least February.

I ordered a pair of the skaha pants and if I like them will probably order the Skaha pullover to go with them.

Cant decide on full zip or the Skaha. I liked the kangaroo pocket on Kifaru.
I think the pocket will work great for warming wet hands while fly fishing.
Primary use will be backcountry fly fishing in Appalachians.
