I've been looking to get into photography for a long time, i've got a spring bear hunt upcoming & would like to get a camera beforehand to take along with me & document my hunt.

My main focus: internal image stabilization, weather sealed, smaller physical camera & excellent quality photos.

Short video taking capability would be a plus.

Wondering if anyone has either of these & could provide any feedback to a noob photographer?

Good afternoon
I previously did a post, about a week ago on the OM-5. The combo with the 14-150II is, by far the best outfit for wilderness photography. Weatherproof, super fast focusing, great video options, small and the lens is also weatherproof. The Fuji system is good, but meant for street and portrait photography. Thge Fuji is heavier and the lenses are MUCH heavier

Give me a call to discuss. If I am not here ask for Jeff. 516-217-1000

Hey Joel- any options for a lense that will fit in the belt bag on a Stone Glacier backpack for the OM5?

Considering the Fuji X100 VI due to it's compact size- I do a bit of backpack stuff & having to dig the camera & lense out of the pack everytime I want a picture is not going to lend itself to taking many photos

I need to know the size of the belt bag., The 14-150 is not a large lens. It is 2.5"x3.3". Let me know the size if this lens is too big and I can get back to you

The Fuji mis an amazing camera. Only MAJOR limit is the fixed 23mm lens (acts like a 34mm full frame)

I’ll take some measurements when I get home

You'd be surprised at the size of the OM-5/14-150 combo. I don't have the 14-150 but it's just a bit bigger (5.5mm x 29.4mm) than my 12-45 that's on my OM-5. It weighs next to nothing compared to my D750/24-70 2.8. The OM-5/12-45 next to my iPhone 12 Pro for size.

OM 5 is a great camera. I went from a Canon 700D to the OM5. At the time I was doing a lot of multi day raft trips. My OM5 kit goes in a pelican case less than half the size of the one my Canon went in and has a wider focal range. I'm talking about a kit with several lenses. If you were going to take one lens, it would be really compact.
