Yeah, I'm a sucker for punishment but I'll take what I think I'll use. Here's my daily loadout from a bear hunt back in October in Colorado. I didn't take the wide angle lens but I took the zoom and telephoto along with the teleconverter. What's nice is, depending on the hunt, this setup can be used as it's own spotting scope too.

Here is an example from last summer in Alaska. I was just sitting in a camp and a guy said he saw goats in the mountains behind us the night before. So, I set up the camera (I didn't have the 1.4x teleconverter at the time) and I was able to spot them way the hell up there. Granted, a 65x Swaro 85mm beast would be much better but it works when I don't need a spotter.

Goats were on the little \ in the snow on the second peak from the left.

2 nannies and a kid

Man, I will need a bigger pack for this haha. My kit is a lot like yours, except Nikon.

What does the 300 (looks like you have a 300) focal length equate to for a spotting scope?

I had to go look it up again but I believe the magnification is your effective focal length. So, with the 300 on a 1.5 (I think) crop sensor and with a 1.4x teleconverter, I have a 12.6x-13.5x magnification or something like that depending on the crop and what you consider "normal". Then on the back of the camera I zoomed the image in by 16x so that was 201x then? No idea on this second part. But, I'm sticking with it until someone tells me I"m wrong :D

Here's an actual photo of the goats, if you can find them. This is just what the camera produces with just the 300mm lens.

It's a little easier if you go here and then zoom in.

Edit: I was reading this again and left a bunch out apparently. The zoom is your focal length divided by the "normal" focal length for your camera. For a full frame camera this is considered 50mm. For a crop sensor camera, it varies but I believe 32-35mm is somewhere close to "normal". So, you can do the math a couple different ways. I can convert the 300mm to the effective full frame focal length by multiplying by the crop factor of 1.5 and then dividing by the normal focal length of 50. This gives 9x. Or I can just divide 300 by 33 and it gives 9.09x so pretty close. So basically with a 300mm lens on a typical crop camera (1.5-1.6 crop factor) you are getting roughly 9x zoom. Not that much really when you compare to binos or spotting scopes.

So, to correct my statements above, I'm at 9x with just the 300mm. Add the 1.4x TC and I'm at the stated 12.6x.

I posted this one on Instragram with a reference to the "Rainbow Connection" I wonder if anyone here gets that or if I'm just dating myself too much.

Finally had a break in our wind and snow, so I decided to give my new Kuiu Icon 1850 pack a test.

Took my Shorthair out for a run in the snow.
