Pnuma Alpha Vertex Vest

Is the Alpha Vertex Vest (and line for that matter) using Primaloft evolve insulation? I didn’t see it in their site but may have missed it. I’ve seen other threads that say it uses Evolve for the interior. Also, is the outer face fabric just a standard lightweight shell or is it a heavier soft shell material?

It is an Evolve interior. The exterior is a more wind resistant more material than say a Sitka Ambient.

Seems like the jacket would be a good mid layer replacement for a fleece as well. How similar is it to the ambient?

It is similar but isn't designed for breathability like the Ambient. I think it would make a great mid layer but not quite as breathable for active moving. Much better price.. they have 25%-30% sales all the time.
