Hey guys
My sons have both been shooting small bows since they could work. They are now 5 and 7 and I am upgrading their bows for birthdays/xmas.
The bows they have supposedly are around 10-15lbs(long bows). but very small kids bows
My boys are quite big for their age, and wondering what kind of poundage is realistic for them. They pull their current bows easily and definitely ready for an upgrade. I have got a much bigger bow(recurve) in the cupboard for one birthday which is meant to be a true 15lbs, with a much bigger draw length.
Is 20/25lbs realistic for a 7yr old?

We have no archery stores or way to measure things(probably should buy a poundage scale)
Not shooting compounds and going to stick to recurve/long bows

Thanks
