Sako long action

Hey guys, I have a been gifted a sako long action with a mag bolt face. Looking to build a medium weight sheep/mule deer rifle that can also pull double duty in elk hills if steep and deep is the planned hunt. I already have a 7mm Rem mag in a Rem 700 and 300 win in a ruger m77 mkii. What calibers would you folks go with I was thinking a 28 nosler.
