Remington gun factory is closing up shop.

Just the New York one but it’s still sad to see such a big part of Americas history relating to freedom going away. I wonder if they will keep the museum open. The one in Georgia is supposed to be 3x as large as the New York one currently and since it’s closing hopefully they will add to the Georgia one.

Given how little manufacturing there is in that area now, compared to decades ago, Im sure they had a very hard time finding and keeping skilled workers more recently. Combined with NY gun laws coming from the city and down-state, it doesn't come as a surprise to me. Still a shame. Lots of history in that area around gun manufacturing.
