Selling taxidermy

Here’s my situation and I’ve never thought about doing this but are there any restrictions to sell taxidermy since my tag was needed to harvest the animal. I have a tanned black bear hide that my wife says is creepy so it doesn’t appear that it will see the light of day. Not sure if there’s advice if it can be sold and possibly where it could be sold if there’s a marketplace for this. Just seems like a waste to just store it forever considering it wasn’t cheap to get tanned in the first place.

Yes you can sell it, be prepared to loose some $.
Good luck with the wife too, maybe she'll come around in a few years.

I forgot to mention. You should be able to sell it anywhere you can think of.
Personally I would keep it, sounds like its time for your man cave.

Mammals, yes you can sell them. Migratory birds... nope. A fed offense.

Thanks for the input, I’m going to store it for the time being but just wanted to know in case.

To know what is legal you need to look up the laws for your state, not just federal regs.
