one has a scratch on the screen but doesn't affect it at all. View is still totally viewable.

On the walkie talkie end...We got over 3 miles in the rugged mountains 5 in decent areas

It depends on obstructions like all radios
But these are way Better than most
Up to 7 miles with good line of sight on a specific freq set up

They have an emergency feature for getting communication and if I remember it was like 15 miles
I never used it
