When do you use g1 or g2 for BC in the app? Does the “Litz” bullets call for the g7 or are they all g1?

G1 bc is highly dependant on velocity bands. G1 bc is X at X velocitiy to X velocity, then it changes to X G1 bc for the next lower velocity band. Look at sierra bullets advertised g1s for example. G7 bc is not much affected by velocity, therefore I my opinion superior. I use g7, and if G1 is the only of option available, I usually convert that to g7 by taking G1 times 0.515 and use that as a starting point and truing at distance with my known velocity.

If you have the applied ballistics app there is both g1 and g7 bc for all the bullets in the library.
