SO Cimarron Nest Options

Which one of these fits the Cimarron best?

It wasn't obvious to me on MLD's website, but some of the nests you set up with the pole inside the nest centered and some you set up outside the nest. That is part of the reason I bought the duo XL (pole outside) instead of the duo (pole inside) for my LBO.

Simply b/c the shapes don't match up. It still kept the bugs off, but the two tie off points on the bivy lend themselves much better to fitting under a simple tarp pitched with one main ridge line. Inside the tut, there isn't a really good way to tie them off an keep them elevated, so the bug net just kind of collapses on top of you.

Is having Bear Paw add the floor extensions really worth the cost/weight?

Bearpaw designs’ 1/2 nest for Cimarron. 112x54x60” specs and around 23 oz at 30D. 70D adds about 4 more oz. can get with higher bathtub sides too like the other photo attached.

I didn’t get that one, but I think $175. Maybe I should have gotten it but I figure I’ll just make sure I pitch it in a spot where runoff from heavy rains will not gather and flow too much toward me and I should be fine.

$150. I am 6’-4” so I liked the idea of the additional height of the Bearpaw one over the Seek one.
