Swarovski Arca Swiss

Why does some Swarovski spotting scopes have Arca Swiss in the description? Is that just referring to the release mount or is it a different version/model spotting scope?

The newer models have Arca Swiss base plates

exactly what Doug said. you can tell the difference by a big AS on the bottom of the mounting surface

The year Swarovski came out with there new tripod and tripod heads is the same time they starting making all their spotting scope base plates arca swiss. So the spotting scope can slide right into the tripod head with out the arca swiss plate.

I doubt it. It snaps into any arca Swiss head which is pretty much the standard outside of manfrotto. They like to use a proprietary plate.

I went and checked and my Swaro ATX arca foot will fit into a manfrotto rc2 type head directly. So should do manfrotto and arca swiss.
