Trekking poles

Will these listed poles suffice or pull double duty as trekkers and shelter support? I,e. Seek tents and the like. Or is there one you guys would recommend for shelters.

Yes they will, I use BD Carbon corks and BD pure carbons with Gossamer gear grips- Both are really stout poles.

I'm using a pair of Black Diamond Trail Ergo Cork trekking poles. I'm pleased with the cork grips, locking system and hand position. Just purchased a pair for my son to use when we head to EBC in the Himalayas next May.

I use bd ultra distance z poles. Mine are 120cm 5 oz each. They are prefect for paratarp, tt contrail, and tt Notch that i know of. I found the 130 cm too tall for these. The 120 are perfect for me but are non adjustable. I keep the handle collapsed for shelter set up.

They most definitely will and do a very good job................bd zpoles ultra distance and I just collapse the handle on one side to make it work....
