Anyone have any experience running this model, or could recommend something with similar specs with illuminated reticle.

Does the FOV really seem that generous on the 2-10 model?

I have 2 of these and the field of view on 2x is very good. Really nice for aquiring targets.

I don't know why it says 15x in the link. It's 12x on top.

I have the VX6 2-12 with the firedot and the FOV is awesome!!! Have a few scopes with the firedot and they are great for hunting, especially in the woods!

I have two hds5’s and I love them. The firedot proved crucial for harvesting my best buck to date in the last 10 min of legal light. I also have a swaraovski z6 2.5x-15x56. I actually prefer the Leupold over the swaro bc of the firedot. The firedot option for the swaro was just too much $.
