One of my favorite ways to get my kids started is coon hunting over hounds. They get to shoot the recoil free 22lr. They get to stay up late and hang out with Dad while the whole world sleeps!
I am not always the best at getting pictures taken but this night was pretty special. My pair of hounds at the time split and treed separately. My daughter Lily had not got a coon yet so she got to go first and it was a bruiser. That coon was over 40lbs. After she dispatched the first coon my son Bradley also got one at the other tree. I think we made it home by 10:00 so my wife was even pleased.
