    Question ATV Trail Maps

I'm beginning to scour aerials of the general area I'm planning to hunt this September in Montana. I wish to identify where the ATV trails are so I can find the areas furthest removed from them. Just wondering if anyone has found some good resources for this information online.

The best thing I've found so far is the following website posted by another member in an earlier thread: Hillmap - Backcountry Maps for the Obsessed. Setting the map on the left to "CalTopo" yields some trail information. Just wondering what other resources might be available. Thanks for any references you can provide.

I'd suggest contacting the forest service ranger district your hunting in and they should have a map of where atvs can and can't go.

Look for MVUM USDA forest service maps for your area.

Bingo. I found a website with an interactive motor vehicle use map. That's a huge help. The next step will be to find a similar map overlayed atop aerial imagery and topo lines.

I contacted the forest service, and it turns out that they offer free trail maps. It's already headed my way. Thanks for the suggestion.
