Just out of the box ... The Fix by Q

After several attempts to find a nice lefty in 6.5 I gave up and settled on the Fix by Q rifle company. This is a very interesting bold action the bolt is actually on rails, it has a 45° lift and I can run this left-handed and it works extremely well w ambi controls.
It arrived last night and I quickly attempted To mount my Swarovski scope... sadly my high rings were not high enough. So I grabbed an older 4.5-14 AO w a 40mm obj and it just barely fit.

I ran a few patches dow the barrel, loaded the mag with factory Hornady 140 ELD Match and headed to my range.

Took a shot at 50 and left to right was good but hit maybe 7” low. Made a quick adj and shot again.. still low but good enough to shoot at 100. (Ran a patch through it) 3 rd shot hit 3” low. Adjusted again... 4th shot just a tad right and 1.5 high. Decided to go ahead and fire off shot 4 and 5 with no further adj.

I am very pleased with my purchase!!
** I ordered the Trash Panda suppressor but have a 200 day wait.

Day 2

Started at 100 with clean bore and put 2 about .25” apart.
Moved back to 200 and put 2 inside a 1” dot.

Super cool man! Keep us posted on how it shoots. With Kevin hinting at a magnum version next year I'm putting off the build I had planned.

Had to order more ammo :)
Ive never had accuracy out of what I would call a hunting rifle like this.

I will say it does recoil a little more than my ruger american, Im anxious to receive my trash panda.

He might have hinted on a magnum but it’s still going to be at least two years till we can get it in our hands. The mini is still on preorder

Hate to admit it, but I'll bet you're not wrong. I can't decide if I want to wait or just get a gun built. I'm tired of packing my 11.5 lb gun on backpack hunts.

Looking forward to seeing some pics. I’m a lefty too, and most comfortable with the AR controls. I was just looking at Q’s Fix today.

I like.

Hoping by the time I get one somebody is making magazines with more of a flush fit, 3-5 rounds should do it. Can't imagine needing ten on big game.

Those look awesome but damn they're spendy. Nothing cheap about this sport anymore. :)

ETA: Those will be great for the Mega Fix assuming it's going to use AI mags but they are single stack AI mags not SR-25/AR-10 mags.

Google 3 Round AICS, there should be other options too. I think you can modify some polymer ruger mags to work.
