Broz,
Which have done better for you through transonic- the 215 or 230gr?
My data here will be stronger on the 215 simply because I have sent more of them than the 230 Targets or OTM's. And the 230's only from a 10 twist. I believe my new rifle with an 8 twist will make the 230 shine. Both will go through transition and hold close to 1 moa in great conditions. The 215 has done very well from the 10 twist and I feel better from my 9 twist. It goes subsonic just past 2000 here at home (4100' asl) and I have hit my 2500 rock with it. Groups were all measure by reticle on flat rock walls. So not as good as steel or paper, but I am confident in what I post here.
I have some of the first CEB's Lazer max in 220 gr and 240 gr as well as some 230 Sierra's to compare to the 230 Berger targets. I put a 30 Lapua improved together with a 9 twist and took it back apart waiting for the 28" 8 twists to do more testing with the heavy bullets.
Probably not much help, but thats what I got so far.
Jeff
No, that’s good. Thank you. If you remember, once you get some rounds with the 8” twist and 230’s, let me know how they do.
