Here are a couple Tactacam Reveal XPro shots on our lease. Note: Cameras are set at only 12 megapixals, have been in the field since February in the freezing temps and now in the Texas 100 + heat. Batteries are still at 100% and I do have a small aftermarket solar panel on each one.
Tactacam ceased production of the Reveal XB model. You still can find some old inventory in retail. I believe it was replaced by the newer Tactacam Reveal XPro. I'm running two of those cameras and they work great when set up correctly. It helps too if cameras are facing a northern direction...
Using the Trijicon Accupoint TR23 in 5-20x50 on my Cooper 6.5x55 rifle; I harvest both of these free ranging Axis bucks. One was a 311 yard uphill neck shot (because that is the only shot he gave me looking back) and the other was a 287 yard high shoulder shot. Both DRT. The scope held my 200...
Trijicon TR23 might answer your problem. Its a 5-20x50 with adjustable illumination dot center with BDC type reticle. I have one that has survived some rough hunts, jarring sidexside rides and 4 wheeler rides while holding true zero. I've made some long late evening shots with it. Dot has just...
I'd stick to you tried and true gun, the Tikka or if your looking for another great gun maker known for precision barrel making; look at the Bergara. They are so sweet. When I looked at everything that was on the store shelves, it came down to Tikka 6.5 PRC or the Bergara B-14 Ridge with a...
I've owned several of the Swedish Mausers made my Carl Gustaf and also Husquavarna. All have 6.5x55 markings on them and they are 6.5 Swedish Mausers. Many countries made their own version of the Mauser in various calibers including Germany, Spain, Chili and Belgium. Germany's K98 probably the...
Have you tried the Tactacam Reveal X-Pros? I've had mine catch single doves in mid-flight leaving my deer feeder pens and deer 60' away leaping into the pen. I've very pleased with my 2 X-Pro Cameras
I'm not a fan of the Moultrie's just based upon the experiences of my friends. I don't own one but a lot of guys are on our lease do and they complain about the picture quality and slow/sensitivity of the camera to pick up game.
On our lease the guys running Tactacam Reveal X-Pro cameras including myself are getting way more pictures on our cameras, better quality and just seem to work better all around. The other hunters have a bunch of Moultrie cameras and other brands. They are all asking us what kind of camera's are...
I'm a big fan of the Tactacam Reveal X-Pro; Excellent picture quality, great speed and sensitivity. Plus the app and camera are both so easy to use. Reveal X-Pro gives you a choice of what cell service to use Verizon or ATT. Camera runs about $140 dollars and you can get an unlimited picture...
I'm a 6.5 caliber kind of guy. I have the 6.5x55 Sweed, the 6.5 Creedmoor and the 6.5 PRC... all because the recoil is manageable and I do not like a gun that draws blood on both ends of it. I think the 6.5 PRC would be an awesome gun for elk and mullies.
