How'd y'all do? We actually heard a bull bugle and chuckle right at shooting time opening morning, then heard two fighting! Couldn't get into them though, had a string of 8 cows cut off our approach so we had to hunker down and wait. Saw a lot of mule deer and cow elk this trip but never put...

Didn't take to long. I went to this site, then scrolled down to "Current Road Status By District"
I know I looked at a map just a few days ago that showed the forest road closures around the wildfire areas in Colorado but can't seem to find it today. Does any one have a link to get to the map?
P.s. I'm going back through my browser history to see if I can find it again and will post it if I do
I'll be on y'alls heels. Heading out for third rifle. Good luck! If y'all would let me know how it goes! Main plan is to hit 77 right now. Archery hunted 78 back in 2021 and found a real nice spot that wasn't super crowded that was full of sign!
UtahJimmy are they still out that late in the year? I was doing some reading on CPW's website and they made it sound like the bears all den up by November.
I sent a questing in to Montana Decoys and they replied and said that they still do make the caribou decoy. That it is under the "custom shop" for anyone still looking for them!
I have a Cabela's Instinct Alaskan Guide 8-Person for sale if you are interested. My buddy and I just went partners on a big canvas tent to use as base camp for hunting. Looking to sell the Cabela's tent to help offset costs
Update: didn't wind up even taking the decoys out of our packs. Only saw two shooter bulls in the area we were hunting and didn't want to take the chance to mess anything up with so few opportunities. I did harvest my first caribou though! Had a great time as expected!
I floated parts of the Sag last week North of Franklin Bluff. It was really manageable for my buddy and I in a canoe. I've never done any canoeing and felt very comfortable with the water speeds up there.
